Description
Silicon carbide is primarily used in four major application areas: functional ceramics, refractory materials, abrasives, and metallurgical raw materials.
1、Spherical silicon carbide, as an abrasive, can be used to make grinding tools such as grinding wheels, oilstones, grinding heads, and sandpaper.
2、It serves as a metallurgical deoxidizer and high-temperature resistant material.
3、High-purity single crystals can be used for manufacturing semiconductors and producing silicon carbide fibers.
Application
It is also used in the processing of 3-12 inch single crystal silicon, polycrystalline silicon, gallium arsenide, and quartz crystals for wire sawing. It is an engineering material for the solar photovoltaic industry, semiconductor industry, and piezoelectric crystal industry.
Furthermore, silicon carbide is used in semiconductors, lightning arresters, circuit components, high-temperature applications, ultraviolet light detectors, structural materials, astronomy, disc brakes, clutches, diesel particulate filters, fine wire thermometers, ceramic films, cutting tools, heating elements, nuclear fuel, jewelry, steel, armor, and catalyst supports.
Packing and Storage
This product should be stored in a sealed container in a dry and cool environment, and should not be exposed to air for extended periods to prevent moisture absorption and agglomeration, which can affect dispersion properties and usage effects.
